Amidst the growing social tension and spread of misleading media content in the Middle East and North Africa region, the EU-funded “Media and Innovation for Peace” project aims to strengthen the resilience of communities in Libya, Algeria, Tunisia, Palestine, Jordan and Lebanon in the digital space. To achieve this, the project brings together journalism and media experts, entrepreneurs, creators, and digital technology experts to support the development of innovative media ideas to combat misinformation, false news, and hate speech.

If you think you have an entrepreneurial mindset and interest in digital media, this is your chance to enhance your skills, connect with a regional community of experts, and launch your scalable business idea to solve some of the most pressing challenges in the digital media sphere today.

The DIP project, funded by the EU International Partnerships, and implemented with DW Akademie and Elbiro Media Foundation, aims to strengthen social resilience against the growing threat of disinformation and promote peace in the digital, fast-evolving world of information.

Eligibility

  • 18-35 years old, with an innovative digital media idea

Prize

  • The top three participants will receive a prize of €1000 to develop their solutions further
  • Language: Arabic
