2014 Genesis Generation Challenge ( $1 million global innovation prize)

The Genesis Prize Foundation has announced that the inaugural Genesis Prize Laureate, Mr. Michael R. Bloomberg, has chosen to invest the $1 Million award to create a global competition, named the Genesis Generation Challenge.

The new competition will strive to find – and fund – the next big idea that would measurably better the world. The Genesis Generation Challenge is designed to encourage teams of change agents from across the world to submit ideas for projects, guided by Jewish values, that demonstrate innovation and creativity in addressing the world’s pressing issues. Up to 10 winning teams each will be awarded at least $100,000 to implement their initiatives.

 Genesis Generation Challenge, would give 10 teams up to $100,000 each. The competition was inspired by former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg.

The Genesis Generation Challenge welcomes multi-disciplinary teams of young adults to propose big ideas to better the world.

Requirements:

  • Each team must consist of approximately 10 individuals and must designate a team leader (age 20-36).
  • Other team members must be 18 years or older.
  • Teams may represent nonprofit or for profit entities. Because the idea must offer a sustainable and scalable solution to an important problem, The Genesis Prize  seeking social entrepreneurs and others with experience delivering projects with lasting and innovative change in their communities and the world.
