2014 Worldwide UNESCO Clubs Youth Multimedia Competition.($1000 & All Expense paid trip to the USA)

U.S. Federation of UNESCO Clubs, hereby invites Youths from around the world to take part in the 2014 UNESCO Worldwide Multimedia Competition. Think creatively, involve your peers and community and answer the question,

“If you could do one thing in your lifetime to make the world a better place what would it be, why, and how?”

You are encouraged to respond by making a 3-minute video, multimedia presentation, written essay, art work or using any method that channels your specific passion and talent to share your answer to the question.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Youth of the world who are between the ages of 15 – 24

Contest Guidelines

  • The work has to be relevant to the question.
  • Your work must be original.
  • All participants need to fill out the Application Form.
  • Essay, single space, 2 pages, Times New Roman Font and include a heading with the following: name, title of project, your age and where you are from.
  • Videos should be 3 minutes maximum.
  • Images of 3 dimensional work will be accepted
  • For art, sculpture and photography, tell us in 50 words or less a little bit about your work, the title, the
    medium, your age and where you’re from (Use the Submission form)
  • 1 entry per person

  1.  Please fill out the Application Form
  2.  Submit your work to YouthContest@UNESCOUSA.org before the deadline.

Please put the following subject line in all emails: 2014 Worldwide UNESCO Clubs Youth Multimedia Competition and your name.

 

Contest Winners

Contest winners will be announced on January 10, 2014 and will be published on the UNESCO website and in various newspapers around the world.

Prizes

  • The various UNESCO federations across the globe will select finalists within their districts which will then be sent to the Director of Youth Initiatives for the U.S. Federation. Among this pool of finalists, 10 international finalists will be selected to receive a $1,000 prize.
  • Of the 10 finalist, 3 top winners will be invited to attend the 2014 March Executive Board Meeting, their travel cost paid, where they will showcase their project, engage in the conversation and workshops.
  • All of the international finalists will work with U.S. Federation, its sponsors, and their national Federations to develop plans of action to put their proposed project into action.
  • It is proposed that these finalists will then receive the materials and capital needed to put their proposals into action and encourage future participants. This competition will be an annually recurring competition.
