2015 Bremen International Graduate School of Social Sciences (BIGSSS) Predoctoral Fellowship Program, Germany

The Bremen International Graduate School of Social Sciences (BIGSSS) invites applications to its Predoctoral Fellowship program. The program is designed for particularly talented BA and BSc students who wish to proceed straight into their PhD, and who have a background in the social sciences or humanities and/or those who have a preliminary social-scientific research idea in mind.

Successful applicants for the Ph.D. and Predoctoral fellowships will pursue a topic in one of BIGSSS’ three Thematic Fields.

Requirements

Financial Support:

BIGSSS offers 2 Predoctoral Fellowships of 800 Euros/month for 12 month for excellent BA and BSc graduates. After fulfilling some course requirements and having their proposals accepted within the first year, candidates can switch into the regular three year PhD program.

Application Deadline:

The application period for the Fall 2015 semester will begin on November 15th, 2014 and go until February 15th, 2015. The deadline refers to the date of receipt of the application. All letters of recommendation must also reach BIGSSS by February15th, 2015.
