2015/2016 NFP/MSP (MENA) scholarship Programme for study in the Netherlands (Fully Funded)

NFP stands for Netherlands Fellowship Programmes (NFP), MSP stands for MENA (Middle East and North Africa) Scholarship Programme. NFP scholarships are available for 51 countries, MSP scholarships for 9 countries*.

The NFP and the MSP scholarship programmes are funded by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs and administered by Nuffic, the Netherlands Organisation for International Cooperation in Higher Education.

You can only apply for a scholarship for your chosen course during the ‘application window’ for that course.

Eligibility Requirements:

Criteria for an NFP scholarship
Next to the RNTC course admission requirements, you need to meet the following requirements to be eligible for an NFP scholarship:

•  you are a national of and work in one of the following 51 countries: Afghanistan, Albania, Armenia, Autonomous Palestinian Territories, Bangladesh, Benin, Bhutan, Bolivia, Burkina Faso, Burma, Burundi, Cambodia, Colombia, Cuba, Democratic Republic of Congo, Djibouti, Egypt, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Georgia, Ghana, Guatemala, India, Indonesia, Jordan, Kenya, Macedonia, Mali, Mongolia, Mozambique, Nepal, Nicaragua, Nigeria, Pakistan, Peru, Philippines, Rwanda, Senegal, South Africa, South Sudan, Somalia, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Surinam, Tanzania, Thailand, Uganda, Vietnam, Yemen, Zambia, Zimbabwe
•  you are not employed by a multinational corporation, a UN organisation, the World Bank, the IMF, a bilateral or multinational donor organisation, or a large national and/or commercial organisation
•  you have an Employer’s Statement that complies with the format Nuffic has provided. All information must be provided and all commitments that are included in the format must be endorsed in the statement;
•  you have an official and valid passport;
•  you do not receive more than one fellowship for courses that take place at the same time;
•  you have a Government Statement (only if applicable, please check this overview) that meets the requirements of the country in which the employer is established.

Criteria for an MSP scholarship

•  you are a national of and work in one of the following 9 countries: Algeria, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Syria*, Tunisia
*The MSP is now open to applicants of Syrian nationality who are residing and working outside of Syria in one of the selected MSP countries.
•  you are not employed by a multinational corporation, a UN organisation, the World Bank, the IMF, a bilateral or multinational donor organisation, or a large national and/or commercial organisation
•  you have an Employer’s Statement that complies with the format Nuffic has provided. All information must be provided and all commitments that are included in the format must be endorsed in the statement;
•  you have an official and valid passport;
•  you do not receive more than one fellowship for courses that take place at the same time;
•  you have a Government Statement (only if applicable, please check this overview) that meets the requirements of the country in which the employer is established;
•  you are not be over 45 years of age at the time of the scholarship application deadline.

Benefits:

An NFP or MSP scholarship will pay for the full cost of your travel and visa (if required), accommodation and meals, insurance and the course fee.

How to Apply:

To apply for an NFP or an MSP scholarship you need to take the following steps:

Start in time with your RNTC application:

1.    First apply to RNTC to check that you are eligible for the course you are applying for.

2.    Make clear in your application to RNTC that you are intending to apply for an NFP or an MSP scholarship.

3.    Once you have submitted your application, RNTC will inform you by email whether you are eligible or not (usually within two weeks).

4.    If you are eligible for the course, RNTC will send you a link by email to apply for an NFP or an MSP scholarship in ATLAS; the online system for your NFP or MSP scholarship application.
