2015-17 Theme: Public Leadership for Culturally Diverse Societies – Jeanne Sauvé Foundation
Jeanne Sauvé Public Leadership Program invests in the next generation of public leadership to help solve global challenges.
This intensive, in-house, intercultural and international program is based at Sauvé House in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Every program brings together a group of young leaders from Canada and around the world to live and work together and to share their personal passion for addressing a particular globally significant challenge.
Participants bring to the program their own expertise and perspectives, shaped by their experiences working to address this issue in their respective contexts, communities and countries.
The Program invests in the capacity of these young leaders to effect positive change by cultivating in them the skills required to work across cultures, countries, disciplines and sectors in the public sphere. It does this by:
- Inviting young leaders to rethink a key global issue from diverse cultural and disciplinary perspectives
- Inciting them to innovate through joint action
- Investing in their public leadership skills with professional and personal development programming
- Incubating their ideas by providing time and space for compelling individual initiatives to take root
The 2015-2017 Program Fellows will collectively take up the challenge of Public Leadership for Culturally Diverse Societies.
Eligibility:
- Be between 25 and 30 years of age (inclusive) on 15 August 2015
- Have completed at least one university degree
- Possess high oral and written proficiency in English (French language skills are an asset)
- Have at least 3 years of full-time professional experience
- Have a strong record of leadership benefitting a particular community or cause in the public interest
