African Arts Institute Business of Arts Master Classes 2014/15.

The African Arts Institute hereby offer musicians, visual artists, filmmakers, actors, dancers, writers and arts administrators in Cape Town an opportunity to apply for the Business of Arts Master Classes for 2014/2015.

The AFAI Artists’ Help Desk is a home for artists. It provides relevant support and services to African Diaspora artists – as well as local artists – living in South Africa through five main areas of focus: Help Desk, Creation and Performance, Training, Infrastructural Support and Networking.

The programme intends to equip artists with key tools to navigate the arts world as professionals and build on their success. It is geared towards intermediate-level, “up and coming” musicians, visual artists, filmmakers, performers and writers, who have products or services to sell but want to build on their knowledge and enhance their current skills in generating income through their work. Through this programme The Help Desk aims to empower talented artists and uplift them to reach a professional standard in the South African creative industry. The programme will be valuable to both those artists who are looking to enter the mainstream market and to those who want to establish their artwork independently.
