The German Marshall Fund of the United States is proud to announce that the call for applications for the Brussels Forum’s Young Professionals Summit (YPS) is now open. YPS is an event where the future generation of leaders converge with senior opinion-shapers and decision-makers. It has developed as the leading platform in Brussels for fostering high-level dialogue across sectors and between generations, and brings together senior members of the political, industrial, commercial, and intellectual community.

Brussels Forum’s Young Professionals Summit (YPS) is an annual event of The German Marshall Fund of the United States where the future generation of leaders converge with senior opinion-shapers and decision-makers. It has developed as the leading platform in Brussels for fostering high-level dialogue across sectors and between generations, and brings together senior members of the political, industrial, commercial, and intellectual community.

The Young Professionals Summit builds networks among young leaders through interactive workshops and training exercises. YPS participants will have the opportunity to take away concrete professional and personal tools to challenge themselves and influence transatlantic policy debates.

The 2016 Young Professionals Summit will bring together participants from around the globe for four days of spirited discussion from March 17-20, 2016 in Brussels. YPS offers access to Brussels Forum’s tightly knit community and diverse network while the forum addresses “A World Beyond Disorder“– examining competing narratives and value systems on how to manage the world order as it faces challenges to the international system and testing its resiliency.

Eligibility Requirements

The summit brings together professionals age 33 and under from all sectors who possess the following characteristics:

• Leadership capacity in their community or profession;
• Interest in policy issues affecting transatlantic relations;
• Intellectual curiosity;
• Professional growth; and
• A commitment to transatlantic and global engagement.
*Please note that travel and accommodation costs are not covered.
