The ODI opens its call for nominations for the Open Data Awards 2016 from pioneering individuals and businesses working with open data in the UK and worldwide

The ODI is pleased to announce that nominations for the Open Data Awards 2016 are now open. The awards recognise the outstanding achievements of individuals and businesses working with open data – both in the UK and worldwide

Nominations are open until 18 September at midnight BST; the shortlists will be announced ahead of the ceremony on 1 November.

The awards categories are:

  • Business Award: celebrating open data used to transform business
  • Publisher Award: celebrating high publishing standards and use of challenging data
  • Innovation Award: celebrating open data used as a tool for innovation, in any sector
  • Social Impact Award: celebrating open data used as a tool for social good
  • Champion Award: celebrating an outstanding individual pioneer of open data
  • Women in Data Award: celebrating pioneering women working with data
