Canon Collins Scholarships 2017/2018 for Masters Study in the United Kingdom (Fully Funded)

Canon Collins Trust offers scholarships to support taught masters degree programmes at certain UK universities.

School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London
partner with SOAS to co-fund two scholarships annually. Applicants must:

  • Be a national of, and normally resident in one of the following countries: Angola, Botswana, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Swaziland, Zambia, Zimbabwe.
  • Be in possession of a good Honours degree (minimum second class, upper division or equivalent) or about to graduate in the year of application
  • Be applying for a full-time one-year taught masters course in any subject.
  • Have at least 2 years work experience in a relevant field

University of Sussex

The Canon Collins Trust partner with the Mandela Scholarship Fund at the University of Sussex to fund three awards annually. Applicants must:

  • Be a national of, and normally resident in one of the following countries: Angola, Botswana, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Swaziland, Zambia, Zimbabwe.
  • Be in possession of a good Honours degree (minimum second class, upper division or equivalent) or about to graduate in the year of application
  • Be applying for a full-time one-year taught masters course in any subject.
  • Have at least 2 years work experience in a relevant field

University of Edinburgh, MSc in African Studies

This scholarship is co-funded by Canon Collins and the University of Edinburgh. It is limited to the MSc in African Studies. Applicants must:

  • Be a national of, and normally resident in one of the following countries: Angola, Botswana, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Swaziland, Zambia, Zimbabwe.
  • Be in possession of a good Honours degree (minimum second class, upper division or equivalent) or about to graduate in the year of application
  • Be applying for the MSc in African Studies
  • Have at least 2 years work experience in a relevant file

Benefits:

  • All these scholarships cover full tuition fees, a monthly stipend, a return economy flight, a settling-in allowance and other support whilst in the UK.

Am a student of Masters in Public Administration and Management at the University of Malawi. I am interested in carrying out a research on a gender-related topic. However, I do not have enough funds for that. Could there be any consideration in terms of sponsorship
