Digify Free 3-month Digital Training Bootcamp for Africans, Johannesburg South Africa

Backed by Google and IAB SA, Digify is a 3-month digital bootcamp offering 18 to 25 year olds intensive training in digital campaigns, social media and content creation, as well as key Google modules including Search, AdWords, YouTube and Analytics. Participants would trained in those professional skills that will help them get their  dream digital job. Livity Africa is working with Google and IAB SA to offer every graduate of the programme a paid entry level job or internship.

Commencing in Johannesburg in September 2014, 15 young people will have the opportunity to follow in the footsteps of the first round of Digify graduates, who have started new careers in the country’s top digital agencies and organisations including  Native VMLRetroviralFoxP2Casson MediaAqua Agency, iClinic, Edcon and African Doctors.

Fifteen people between the age of 18 and 25 will be selected to participate in the Digify boot camp kicking-off this September, where, for three months, they will receive broad and wide-ranging practical digital skills learning about campaigns, social media, Google AdWords, Analytics and content creation, as well as professional skills training that will help them get their dream digital jobs.

The intention after this 3-month programme is to place all successful candidates in internship programmes or paid roles  within the digital industry.

Requirements:

  • All selected candidates will need to be available full-time, 5 days a week (Monday – Friday) for the entire duration of the training.

Age: 18 to 25 year olds only
Location: Braamfontein, Johannesburg
Cost: No cost, however you must cover your own travel costs to and from Livity Africa’s office.
Time requirement: 3 months, 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
Recruitment process: Applications close on Monday 25 August 2014. Shortlisted candidates will need to complete interviews w/c 25 August with the programme commencing w/c 15 September 2014.
