Digital Africa Startup Challenge 2016 for African Startups (Fully Funded to 27th Africa-France Summit in Bamako, Mali)

Application Deadline: November 15th 2016

Boost your startup and let the world know about your digital solution to help support sustainable development in Africa

Startup Challenge Digital Africa, organised by French Tech Cape Town in collaboration with the Agence Française de Développement and Bpifrance, is open to African and French startups working for development in Africa.

Startups have until November 15 to apply in any one of four categories, namely fintech, health, environment/energy and agriculture. A total of 10 startups will be selected to pitch at the Africa-France Summit on January 13-14 next year: one African and one French startup in each of the four categories, plus another two chosen by online voters.

Are you convinced that digital innovation is the path to achieving sustainable development? Have you created an innovative product or service linked to FinTech, health, environment, energy or agriculture? Do you want to create Africa’s digital transition ?

The final selection will include four African startups and four French startups, all chosen by the jury. Two additional startups will be chosen by an online public vote.

The 10 winning startups will have the opportunity to present their solution at the 27th Africa-France Summit in Bamako!

Startups are invited to submit entries in one of four categories:
The jury will choose one African startup and one French startup from each category.
As well as these eight winners, one African startup and one French startup will be chosen via a public vote.

Good morning My question is; Does the Digital Africa Startup Challenge valid for people who have already started their businesses? The question arose after coming across one of your requirement from applicants that they should provide a document attesting the existence of the business. I had an idea that applies both environment/energy and agriculture and have already started working on it at a personal level but i haven't started a business on the project. Thank you. Regards
