Huawei ‘Telecoms seeds for the Future’ Internship Program for Kenyans (November-December 2015 )

Huawei and ICT Authority signed a capacity building partnership in June, 2014 in supporting a programme that is expected to benefit 100 students for the next 3 years.

The program also aims to fulfil specific partnership programs informed by the National ICT  Masterplan 2017 that have identified key priority areas as Integrated ICT infrastructure and infrastructure, human Capital and workforce, E-government services and ICT as a driver for industry.

The capacity building programme, dubbed ‘Telecoms seeds for the Future’ is aimed at providing practical on-the-job skills to top engineering students from all universities countrywide with the requisite ICT skills.

Eligibility/Benefits

  • The Internship programme targets students in their 3rd, 4thand 5th year of study in public and private universities.
  • The first batch of admissions were in September 2014.
  • The top students also benefit for a training tour in China.
