ILO-MTV search for good practices on youth employment.

Submission Deadline: 16 September 2013

The International Labour Organization and MTV have launched a campaign to promote good practices that support young people in accessing decent work. The campaign invites organizations implementing programmes on youth employment to submit their practices for a chance to promote them on MTV Agents of Change

Has your organization implemented a programme to support young people in accessing decent work? Do you want your practice to be recognized and widely disseminated?

This is your opportunity! The ILO Youth Employment Programme is launching a call for submissions of good practices that have proven effective in promoting decent work for young people.

All applications will be assessed based on 6 specific criteria: (i) relevance, (ii) effectiveness and impact, (iii) efficiency, (iv) sustainability, (iv) innovation, and (v) replicability.

To improve the implementation and impact of youth employment practices, in order to create more and better jobs for young people.

The identification, through a call, of good practices that promote decent work for young people. The evaluation of the practices that meet the requirements and selection criteria.
The visibility provided to the selected best practices in order to avoid duplication of efforts and as an opportunity to be replicated. The recommendations developed by a group of experts on youth employment, which will help to strengthen and improve the impact of the practice.

An evaluation committee composed of experts and young specialists on youth employment will identify the good practices from the programmes submitted. The best good practices will receive prizes!

Top prize per region: 2000 USD + an online publication + a one-on-one interview with a youth employment expert. Three best practices will be featured in an MTV Agents of Change video.

The final deadline to submit proposals is in 16 September 2013.
