Institut Français PAIR – Program for International Artists in Residence 2024 for foreign Artists.

With PAIR, the Institut français is making a commitment to residency structures in mainland France and the French overseas territories to support their international development, by enabling them to host foreign artists.

In order to apply, the residency host structure, in a duo with the artist, shall submit a project. Together they propose a research and creation project that requires the presence of the artist in France, for a period of one to three months, between October 2024 and December 2025.

The winning host structures will receive a subsidy calculated based on the duration of the residency as well as the international transport required

Requirements

  • The 2024 call for projects is aimed at residence structures located in mainland and overseas France (Guadeloupe, French Guiana, Martinique, Réunion, Mayotte, New Caledonia, French Polynesia, Saint-Barthélemy, Saint-Martin, Saint -Pierre-et-Miquelon, the French Southern and Antarctic Lands and the Wallis and Futuna Islands) who wish to welcome artists and creators from the African continent. It aims to strengthen links between French and African artistic communities in many disciplines including visual arts, performing arts, literature, cinema, etc.
