MINDS Southern Africa Regional Civic Education Workshop 2015, Botswana (Fully Funded)

Application Deadline: Midday (12PM CAT) on the 2nd of October 2015. 
The Mandela Institute for Development Studies (MINDS) is pleased to announce that applications for the Southern Africa Regional Civic Education Workshop in Elections and Governance are now open.

The workshop will take place in Botswana from the 26th to the 27th of November 2015.

MINDS hosts regional training workshops in Civic Education on Elections and Governance across the continent.

The aim of the workshops is to create awareness, enhance knowledge and develop relevant skills in electoral and governance processes and leadership among participants, in order for them to effectively communicate and apply them in influencing and mobilizing other youth to actively participate in the processes and other community and national development activities.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Applications are invited from people between 18 and 45 years old who are from Angola, Botswana, Madagascar, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Lesotho, Seychelles, South Africa, Swaziland, Zambia or Zimbabwe.
  • MINDS will select up to 30 participants from these countries to attend the Southern Africa workshop.

Benefits

  • MINDS will meet all the direct costs (flights, accommodation and meals) of participation in the workshop.”
