The Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism (RISJ) Call for Freelance Journalists

Application Deadline: October 11th 2020

The Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism (RISJ) is aiming to contract a freelance journalist to research and write engaging news stories on a regular basis. These should cover key trends, projects, and developments in journalism worldwide, with a special focus on Africa, Asia and other regions of the Global South. Journalists are asked to submit: 

  • A CV including links to some examples of their work 
  • A proposal including a short personal statement, and pitches for 2 stories they would like to write about journalism in the Global South 
  • Contact details of two referees 

This is an exceptional opportunity for a dynamic, creative and rigorous reporter to contribute to the Institute’s mission to explore the future of journalism worldwide by writing, producing and disseminating a variety of content across a range of distribution channels. 

RISJ are seeking freelancers. Articles and stories will be pitched, commissioned and paid on delivery, for fees agreed in advance.

Details should be sent before Monday 11 October at noon, UK time.
