Organised by UK charity Teach A Man To Fish the Education That Pays For Itself conference represents a shift in the way we educate. It represents belief in the power of entrepreneurship and the power of sharing 21st Century and life skills with the next generation.

It represents a passion for creating a better world where young people are not only job seekers, but job creators too. And, with millions more beneficiaries every year, a new wave of practical, market-oriented education programmes globally represents a new era in the sustainability, efficiency and innovation of schools around the world.

The annual Education That Pays For Itself conference is a space for professionals to share their insights, discuss and engage with fellow delegates and participants on the future of entrepreneurship, youth employability and innovative approaches to education in schools and communities.

The conference host, LIV School, on the outskirts of Durban aims to provide increased access to and quality care through education and health care; and stimulate healthy cognitive development of vulnerable and orphaned children and impoverished communities at LIV Village and in the surrounding communities. The school was chosen as the host of this prestigious conference and will open its doors to delegates between the 30th of November and the 2nd of December 2016.

The conference will spark debate amongst local and foreign delegates surrounding the future of sustainable and innovative approaches to education by drawing on examples and models from around the world. CEO of Teach A Man To Fish said of the conference,

“This is a great opportunity for South African educators, innovators and those who believe in sustainable school models and teaching practice to bring their experiences to the table and learn from other experts from all over the world.
