The Bank of Uganda Internship Programme 2018 for young Ugandans

Bank of Uganda’s internship programme offers a wide range of opportunities for students
to gain insight and appreciation of the technical and administrative implementation of Central Banking programmes and knowledge in a conducive working environment of the Bank.
The purpose of the Bank of Uganda Internship Programme is to;
  • Provide a framework by which continuing students from diverse academic backgrounds may be assigned to various Bank of Uganda Departments where their educational experience can be enhanced through practical and hands-on-training in a real work setting.
  • Expose students and deepen their knowledge and understanding to the work of Bank of Uganda, the Bank values and goals.
  • Expose students to the various professional disciplines and culture within their areas of specialization

Internship Applications

  • Applications for the February intake should be submitted between 1st and 30th November of the preceding Year;
  • Applications for the June to August intakes should be submitted between 1st February and 30th April of each calendar Year.
Period of internship will be for one (1) month.
Applicants should attach the following documents;
  • Application letter
  • Introductory letter from the university
  • First Year results indicating the applicants CGPA (the CGPA should be at least 3.6).
  • Applicants should be in their second (2nd) Year of study.
The Bank however, reserves the right to appoint an intern in line with set criteria as deemed fit.

I've just graduated from MAK in january 2018 with a first class degree of science in business statistics with a CGPA of 4.47 and as well i hold a diploma in UDBS-accounting option but currently un employed on the grounds of lack of experience. I look at this as an opportunity as to uplift my expertise if given chance

I am Ssendege Ronard and I have just graduated from MAK in January 2018 with a first class degree of science in business statistics with a CGPA of 4.47 and too I have a first class diploma with a CGPA of 4.76 UDBS-accounting opportion but am currently unemplyed given the fact that i've no experience, so i would at this as an opportunity as to build my expertise if given chance. Please i beg that i too be considered though already graduated and I train. Please bail me out

I am by names of Muwonge Lawrence a student at Uganda Technology And Management University persuing a bacheolar's degree in Computer Science. I have a CGPA of 4.19 but I have just completed my first year and proceeding to my second year. Can't I apply for this internship opportunity with you?
