Applications are now open for the 2024 SPAR Group YES for Youth Learnership Programme. The SPAR Group Ltd SA understands that youth employment is important for our country’s economic growth. As such, SPAR has collaborated with YES for Youth to create a quality work experience to enable youth to reach their full career potential. Catalyx, as an implementation partner for SPAR SA is inviting unemployed youth to apply to join the YES for Youth twelve month work experience opportunity. SPAR / YES / Catalyx, does NOT charge any fees to join the programme.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Interns will earn a minimum wage, receive ongoing personal development training and coaching and numerous other benefits.

Requirements
- Must be a South African Citizen
- Must be 18 – 28 years old
- Currently unemployed and NOT studying full time
- Passed Matric and with the relevant Tertiary Qualification (Undergraduate Degree)
- Clear criminal record
- Should NOT have participated in YES previously.
- Be able to commit to the 12-month work program (1 April 2024– 31 March 2025)

- Degree in Retail Management / Business Management / Supply Chain Management (you will be in the field of buying, negotiating, promotions and stock planning. Strong financial acumen essential)
Information Technology
- Degree in Project Management (focus on Computer Skills / Business Analytics / Retail Systems Specialist / Customer Liaison). Drivers Licence an advantage
- Specialised A ; N and MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) (Network Systems / Project Management / SAP and Training)
Warehouse / Logistics
- Degree in Supply Chain Management
- Degree in Freight Logistics Management
- Degree in Road Transport Management
- Degree in Project Management
- Degree in Consumer Science: Food and Nutrition / Biochemistry
- Degree in Quality Control: Food Technology / Microbiology
Risk / Quality
- Degree in Environmental Health
- Degree in Safety Management / Quality Assurance
