Thinking School Africa 2015 Innovation Program for African Youths – Abuja Nigeria.

Thinking School Africa is an annual innovation program where African youth in the continent and their counterparts in the Diaspora shall collaboratively ideate and create disruptive innovations and solutions that addresses pressing problems, increases youth employment and inclusive prosperity in Africa.

Adopting a three pronged strategy, Thinking School Africa 2015 comprises a 5 days youth innovation module in Abuja – Nigeria, followed by a 6 months innovation incubation fellowship and concludes with an innovation exhibition in Lagos for participants. Idea solutions shall be focused on the following thematic areas:

  • Innovation in Business & Economy
  • Innovation in Community Development & Social Enterprises
  • Innovation in Public Services/Government
  • Innovation in Science & Technology

Target Audience

African youth between 15 and 35 years passionate about inventions and homegrown disruptive innovations.

During the Lagos innovation exhibition, breakthrough innovations shall be presented to investors and relevant stakeholders for possible partnerships to scale the quality and scope of the innovations for Africa.

Thinking School Africa uses a dynamic curriculum / handbook that provides a step by step guide on how a young person can practically go through the process of identifying a social problem and creating a workable solution that can solve the problem.

Registration Procedure

  • Complete and submit the registration form for consideration – TSA 2015 Registration Form
  • All forms must be submitted with passport photograph and a page essay about a problem you are concerned about under any of the TSA 2015 Thematic Areas.
  • Registration Fee = N20, 000 (Twenty Thousand Naira) and covers only conference materials, T.shirt, lunch and certificate. After the evaluation of applications received, selected candidates will be sent invite letters with information on how to pay registration fee.
  • Note: Participants will be responsible for their own travel and accommodation.
