The MILEAD Fellows Program is a long-term leadership development program designed to identify, develop and promote emerging young African Women leaders to attain and thrive in leadership in their community and Africa as a whole.

2. International Women’s Forum Leadership Foundation’s Fellowship Programme
Application Deadline: June 1st 2015
Applications are invited for the International Women’s Forum Fellows Program for emerging women leaders for executive development programs worldwide. The fellowship program offers creative and multi-disciplinary training for a total of 20 days at Harvard Business School and INSEAD campuses in France, Singapore and Abu Dhabi (UAE).
In addition to their leadership training, each fellow is matched with an IWF member who serves as her mentor and coach during the program year, a chance for the fellows to garner personal insights and advice from women at the top of their fields

3. Anita Borg Systers Pass-It-On (PIO) Awards for Female Technologist ( $1000.00 USD)
The Anita Borg Systers Pass-It-On (PIO) Awards honor Anita Borg’s desire to create a network of women technologists helping one another. The cash awards, funded by donations from the Systers Online Community and others, are intended as means for women established in technological fields to support women seeking their place in the fields of technology.

4. UN Women’s Fund for Gender Equality
UN Women’s Fund for Gender Equality was launched in 2009 to accelerate implementation of gender equality commitments worldwide. 5. Cartier Women’s Initiative Award for Female Entrepreneurs (US $ 20 000 of funding)
The Cartier Women’s Initiative Awards are an international business plan competition created in 2006 by Cartier, the Women’s Forum, McKinsey & Company and INSEAD business school to identify, support and encourage projects by women entrepreneurs.
The Cartier Women’s Initiative Awards aim to encourage the most vulnerable category of entrepreneurs in their most vulnerable phase: women entrepreneurs starting up.

6. Working to Advance STEM Education for African Women
WAAW foundation’s annual scholarship initiative is aimed at supporting need based African female STEM-focused college education.
WAAW Foundation awards annual scholarships to students who demonstrate need and prove their status as full time students in a STEM related course in an African University. Recipients will become WAAW Ambassadors in their respective communities.

7. African Women in Agricultural Research and Development Fellowships.
The African Women in Agricultural Research and Development Fellowships (AWARD) is a career-development program that equips top women agricultural scientists across sub-Saharan Africa to accelerate agricultural gains by strengthening their research and leadership skills, through two-year fellowships.

8. Graça Machel Scholarship for African Women
we award this scholarship on an annual basis.
Canon Collins Trust in partnership with the Graça Machel Trust, invites applications for the Graça Machel scholarships for women on a yearly basis, for postgraduate study in South Africa in 2015. Funding will be provided for up to a maximum of one year for Honours, two years for Masters and three years for PhD.
Continued funding will depend on satisfactory progress and academic reports. The scholarship covers full tuition fees, a stipend towards living costs, and a travel allowance.

9. Schlumberger Foundation Faculty for the Future Fellowship Grants for Women in Science.
The Faculty for the Future program, launched in 2004, awards fellowships to women from developing and emerging economies to pursue PhD or Post-doctorate studies in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) disciplines at leading universities worldwide.
The long-term goal of the program is to generate conditions that result in more women pursuing academic careers in STEM disciplines thus contributing to the socio-economic development of their home countries and regions.

10. Magaret McNamara Memorial Fund for students from developing countries
The Margaret McNamara Memorial Fund (MMMF) awards grants to women from developing and middle-income countries to further their education and strengthen the professional and leadership skills they need to improve the lives of women and children.

11. AAUW International Fellowships for Women to study in the United States of America.

13. Microsoft Research Graduate Women’s Scholarship Program (fully Funded)
The Microsoft Research Graduate Women’s Scholarship is a one-year scholarship program for outstanding women graduate students and is designed to help increase the number of women pursuing a PhD. This program supports women in the second year of their graduate studies.
Women who are interested in this scholarship must apply during first year of graduate studies. Scholarships are granted by Microsoft Research at the discretion of Microsoft.

14. FINCAD Women in Finance Scholarship Program, Canada ( US$10,000)
FINCAD Women in Finance Scholarship Program. The goal is to encourage and support outstanding women in the field of finance, particularly relating to the use of derivatives in capital markets and/or financial risk management, and give them an opportunity to cultivate their skills and knowledge.
The scholarship is open to women of any age and citizenship who are studying Finance in a graduate-level program.

16. Islamic Development Bank (IDB) Prize for Women’s Contribution to Development
The Islamic Development Bank established the IDB Prize for Women’s Contribution to Development in 2006 to draw international attention to the vital role women play in developing their communities and the world.
17. Women In Business Competition (Business Plan Competition for Female Entrepreneurs)
The Women in Business Challenge – an initiative of ING and BiD Network – is a competition open to women entrepreneurs in emerging countries. Since its creation in 2009, Women in Business has provided support, coaching, visibility and finance to over 800 women heading businesses in emerging markets. 20 finalists have been supported and coached, 5 of whom have been awarded as laureates.

18. She Entrepreneurs Leadership Programme for Young Emerging Women Social Entrepreneurs, Sweden.
She Entrepreneurs is a leadership programme for young emerging women social entrepreneurs in the Middle East, North Africa and Sweden. The programme aims to give the participants innovative tools for sustainable change while seeking to create an active network of women change-makers.
She Entrepreneurs runs for one year, with participants meeting for ten days in Sweden and one week in the MENA region. In between the modules, the participants work on their own initiative locally, coached by group mentors over digital platforms.

19. Vital Voices GROW Fellowship Program for Female Entrepreneurs
Vital Voices identifies high potential yet underserved women-owned small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that are on the cusp of growth as the “missing middle” in the global economy. Based on its experience with women business owners around the world, Vital Voices has launched the VV GROW Fellowship Program, a one-year competitive program to support growth-oriented women business owners to take their businesses and leadership to the next level.

Postgraduate fellowships are offered to female scientists by the Organization for Women in Science for the Developing World (OWSD).
Postgraduate Training Fellowships for Women Scientists from Sub-Saharan Africa and Least Developed Countries (LDC) at Centres of Excellence in the South. The Fellowship is offered to women scientists to pursue postgraduate research in a field of the natural sciences.
