Tell us What Hate Speech Means To You for a chance to win a free trip to the African Media Leaders’ Forum in Johannesburg!
The contest is open to all who wish to submit an entry.
Contest categories are:
1. Article or Blog – 1000 words max
2. Poem – 1 page max
3. Video Clip – 5 minutes max
4. Cartoon – 1 page max
5. Photograph – 1 entry per person (can include a photo series)
Each week from August to November 2014 selected entries would be showcased on the African Media Leaders’ Forum website.
Prize:
- One winner from each category will receive a free pass to the African Media Leaders Forum, which will be held from November 12-14 in Johannesburg, South Africa. Food, flight and accommodation will be covered for the duration of the conference.
The contest is designed to shed light on the impact of hate speech on the continent and to encourage and promote better protection against hate speech online and in the media.
Entering the contest has been made as simple as possible. All you need to do is email your entries to amlf@africanmediainitiative.org
