Changing the world starts with changing communities. Are you advancing the locally?

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) lay out a clear vision for a sustainable future, and will shape a new era for business. The UN Global Compact is taking the lead on turning these goals into drivers for sustainable business to unlock economic, social and environmental gains for the world.

Local SDG Pioneers are individuals – working at any level in an organization – who are doing an exceptional job of making global goals local business. Through their own company or by mobilizing other businesses, they are helping to reach one or more of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) while also contributing to business success.

To create momentum, UN Global Compact need Local SDG Pioneers to pave the way. That’s why the UN Global Compact are looking for the best business leaders and change-makers in every region of the world who are already demonstrating how business can be a force for good.

Which Kind of Pioneer are you?

 

  • Entrepreneurs and Business Leaders: individuals working in companies who are championing sustainability within the business, for example developing new products and services that are helping achieve the SDGs and generating business success.
  • Change-makers: individuals – working in civil society, academia, other non-business organizations or companies – who are mobilizing others to use business as force for good and work to achieve the SDGs.

 

Nomination Process:

Nominate a colleague or someone that you think is doing great work to advance Sustainable Development Goals at the local level. Individuals who are working at any level of an organization that is an active participant in the Global Compact are eligible to nominate someone else.
