Up Accelerate Program 2017 for Ugandan youth Health Innovators ($10000 in seed funding)

Up Accelerate is challenging Ugandan youth to propose bold solutions to existing sexual reproductive health challenges. Submit your entry for an opportunity to receive up-to $10000 in seed funding, mentorship, business training and technical guidance over a 4-month period.

The Up Accelerate program is a one-year initiative that seeks to source for innovative solutions to health challenges in Uganda. By tapping into networks of young entrepreneurs and providing them with seed funding, mentorship and technical support, Up Accelerate aims to develop market ready, scalable and sustainable solutions in the area of sexual and reproductive health.

Up Accelerate was born as a regional initiative of United National Population Fund (UNFPA) East and Southern Africa, implemented by Outbox and funded by UKAID to explore new and engaging ways of tackling pressing sexual reproductive health challenges through promoting social entrepreneurship among young people.

Requirements:

  • The program is open to any youth born or resident in Uganda between the ages of 18 and 30 years.

Submission Deadline:

The deadline for submissions is May 5th, 2017 (midnight – East African Time).
