USC Center on Public Diplomacy (CPD) Research Fellowship Program 2018/2020 ($2,000 stipend)

Application Deadline: August 31, 2018

CPD is now accepting applications from scholars and practitioners of public diplomacy for the 2018-2020 term. CPD Research Fellows will be expected to oversee a substantive research project that will yield at least two outputs, including one publication for the CPD Perspectives on Public Diplomacy series. The second output could consist of a series for the CPD Blog, or another type of product that the Fellow develops with the Center. These outputs will be due by June 1, 2020.

CPD welcomes proposals that examine both the historical and contemporary practice of public diplomacy conducted anywhere in the world. The selected candidates will each receive a $2,000 stipend upon successful completion of the fellowship. In addition, the Center will offer research assistance as needed and as available from students in the Master of Public Diplomacy (MPD) program or related degree programs at USC.  Three non-resident fellows will be selected every year, each serving a two-year term.

Application Procedure:

  • Applications are due by close of business on August 31, 2018.
  • The results will be announced in the fall of 2018. For details on how to apply, click here.
  • Please note that USC students and faculty are ineligible for the non-resident CPD Research Fellowship
