WAAW (Working to Advance STEM Education for African Women) 2017 STEM Camp (Scholarships Available)

WAAW foundation in partnership with African Girls in Science and Technology Initiatives (Afro-Tech Girls) invite senior secondary school girls to register for the 2017 STEM camp. STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. The theme for our 2017 camp is Creating Employability Skills through Internet Connection, Computer Programming and STEM Innovation to Close the Digital Gender Gap in Nigeria.

This one week Residential camp promises to be SUPER exciting, SUPER fun, very creative and innovative for 40 African girls in Abuja, Nigeria!!! Our camp is aimed at  African girls between the ages of 13 and 17 years who are currently enrolled in Senior Secondary School SS1 – SS3. Girls from all African countries are encouraged to apply.

COST

45,000 Naira for private school students and other individuals.

Limited full Scholarships and reduced cost available for public school students only. Please note that requiring a scholarship may limit your chances of acceptance into the program.
*WAAW will not provide transportation to and from the camp location. Feeding, lodging, Science & Robotics kits, books, t-shirts, backpacks, hands-on learning and mega-fun will be provided.
