World Bank Group’s Global Youth Climate Network (GYCN) 2020 Climate-Smart Entrepreneurship Competition (All paid-for round trip)

The World Bank Group’s Global Youth Climate Network (GYCN) is excited to launch the 2020 Climate-Smart Entrepreneurship Competition.
GYCN is an initiative under Youth-to-Youth (Y2Y), a community of young professionals working within the World Bank Group. GYCN aims to encourage awareness and climate action led by youth worldwide. 

The competition has four thematic areas, two different tracks, and is open to all young entrepreneurs around the world aged 18-35 with innovative climate ideas tailored for developing country settings. Finalists will have the opportunity to present their innovative design to senior World Bank experts and potential investors at international forums.

GYCN is an initiative under the Youth-to-Youth (Y2Y) Community, a network of young World

Bank Group employees aiming to channel fresh ideas and perspectives into WBG operations and to engage, inspire, and empower youth in development. GYCN aims to encourage climate action by the youth population around the world.

Eligibility Requirements

Team of 1-6 persons, all aged between 18 and 35

Innovative climate ideas designed for developing country settings

Competition Prize:

All paid-for round trip for one representative of each finalist team to present their project idea

Attend one-on-one discussions with World Bank Group experts and mentors

Join a network of GYCN community of climate innovators
