2015 Youth Square Nigeria National Essay Competition

The Youth Square Project, with support from the United States Consulate in Nigeria invites young Nigerian women within the age range of 18 – 25 years to participate in the 2015Youth Square Nigeria National Essay Competition“. This competition will give young women in Nigeria an opportunity to share for their views and be heard on issues regarding governance and the Nigerian electoral process.

ELIGIBILITY:

  • Must be female
  • Must be a Nigerian citizen
  • Must be within the age range of 18 – 25 years
  • Must currently reside in Nigeria

ESSAY DETAILS

  • Write an essay on the topic “The 2015 elections and beyond: My Expectations for Nigeria”.
  • Essay must be written in English and must not exceed a maximum 2 pages in length
  • Essay should be typed with Times New Roman font, size 12, and double spaced.

HOW TO ENTER

  • Write essay within the guidelines of essay details and eligibility
  • Save as a Microsoft word document (2003 or 2007 version)
  • The following information MUST be included in the essay: Full Name, Phone Number and Email Address
  • Send completed essay to essay@youthsquarenigeria.org
  • Essays must be received on or before 23:59GMT on Tuesday 31st March 2015. Entries received after the deadline will not be considered.

PRIZES

  • 10.1inch Android tablet and other prizes
  • Hosting of top 3 essays on the Youth Square website

DEADLINE
