The Volkswagen South Africa Graduate Trainee Programme is designed for motivated, driven and dedicated individuals who possess excellent communication skills, leadership potential and an above average academic record. As a permanent employee of Volkswagen Group South Africa, Graduate Trainees undergo a 12 month intensive training programme including Personal Development, Leadership Development and On the job Training which will provide graduates with a solid foundation from which to build their careers.

Volkswagen Group South Africa’s Graduate Trainee Programme is your opportunity to explore the dynamic world of vehicle manufacturing. The Graduate Trainee Programme runs for 11 months during which you will be exposed to corporate, personal and leadership development, which will allow you to get to grips with the working world and lay a solid foundation for a successful career. Should you complete the 11 month trainee programme successfully, you will be placed in a suitable position within Volkswagen Group South Africa.

Eligibility Requirements:

The Graduate Trainee Programme is open to all South African citizens. The requirements differ each year depending on business needs. Typically we recruit students who possess University Diplomas/Degrees in the following fields:

  • Engineering
  • Sales and Marketing
  • Finance
  • Information Technology
  • Human Resources
  • Purchasing
  • Logistics
  • Corporate Communications and PR

While academic qualifications are essential to achieve great heights in our industry we also look for the following qualities:
