The UNESCO-Equatorial Guinea International Prize for Research in the LifeSciences aims to reward the projects and activities of individuals, group ofindividuals, institutions, and non-governmental organizations for theiroutstanding contribution to the improvement of human life
Eligibility Requirements
- The Prize is awarded annually to eminent scientists or groups of scientists,institutions, and non-governmental organizations from numerous fields, such asmedicine, biology, agriculture, environmental sciences, and new technologies,who have significantly contributed to improving the quality of life for individualsand communities through outstanding and transformative discoveries.
- These advancements include medical innovations that extend and enhance patientlives, agricultural techniques that increase crop productivity and sustainability,and environmental research that promotes ecosystem conservation andcombats climate change.
- Additionally, new technologies continue torevolutionize our daily lives by providing innovative and sustainable solutions toglobal challenges.
How to Apply
- Candidatures endorsed by a designating authority
- UNESCO-Equatorial GuineaInternational Prize Website
- UNESCO Member States throughtheir National Commissions
- Non-governmental organizations in official partnership with UNESCO that are active in relevant fields covered by the Prize
- Each Member State or Non-governmental Organization may submit up to five nomination
