Applications are now open for the 2027 German Bundestag International Parliamentary Scholarships. Apply for the International Parliamentary Scholarship (IPS) of the German Bundestag to gain in-depth knowledge of parliamentary work and complete a three-month internship in a Member of Parliament’s office! Young university graduates from 50 countries worldwide in the following regions are eligible to apply: North and South America, Europe, North Africa, the Middle East, Central Asia, East and Southeast Asia, Sub-Saharan Africa, and Oceania.
Requirements
Citizens of the countries listed in the job posting who meet the following criteria are eligible to apply:
- are under 30 years old at the start of the program ,
- have completed a university degree
- have very good German skills (at least B2 CEFR) and
- have a strong interest in political contexts as well as social/political engagement.

Your application is only complete with the following documents:
- Application form (to be completed in German);
- Proof of very good German language skills;
- Letter of motivation in German (max. 2 pages);
- University degree certificate (original or officially certified copy in English or German);
- Two recent letters of recommendation (in German or English) assessing the professional qualifications for the IPS program (according to the letter of recommendation guidelines) .(Download));
- Copy of passport or national identity card as proof of nationality of one of the participating countries;
- A photo for your application as an image file (JPEG or other common image format).
