Applications are now open for the 2026 CivicHive Climate Fellowship. The CivicHive Climate Fellowship 2026 is a four-month intensive fellowship programme designed to build the capacity of early-stage civic tech innovators, leaders of fledgling organisations, and climate advocates in Nigeria. The aim is to empower participants with the knowledge, tools, and strategic capacity required to drive campaigns for a just energy transition and climate justice.
Requirements
Applicants to the CivicHive Climate Fellowship must be:
- Preferably between not more than 35 years old;
- Has demonstrated track record in climate change, energy transition, climate justice, environmental protection, or related fields;
- Is committed to weekly participation and assignment completion;
- Is passionate about strengthening climate accountability, resilience, and justice in Nigeria;
The fellowship provides:
- Seed funding support for promising solutions
- Hands-on training and Expert mentorship
- Weekly assignments
- A capstone project
The CivicHive Climate Fellowship runs from March 17 to June 18, 2026, with structured lab sessions continuing into early July and culminating in a Demo Day on July 22, 2026. The fellowship requires a weekly commitment of four hours, alongside assignments and the development of a capstone project.
