Application Deadline: 28 June 2026.
Applications are now open for the 2026 Code for Africa (CfA) Civic Graph Fellowship. Through its Open Data Initiative, Code for Africa (CfA) is offering seven part-time Civic Graph Fellowships. The selected fellows will support partners in building advanced open-source civic data projects, using standardised Open Civic data formats to ensure interoperability, transparency, and scalability.
The three-month, part-time fellowships are part of a joint initiative between CfA and the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to strengthen information integrity by mapping Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs) and Politically Influential Persons (PIPs) in South Africa during the municipal election period, with elections scheduled for November 2026.
The fellows will support the collection and verification of data points and social media identifiers linked to Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs) and Politically Influential Persons (PIPs) in South Africa, with particular focus on the country’s local government elections scheduled for November 2026.
The primary source for identifying PEPs/PIPs will be official records, including electoral body datasets, government gazettes, and other verified public registries.
