The M-PESA Foundation Academy “The Academy” is a state of the art, mixed boarding high school providing world class Kenyan education. Driven by leadership, entrepreneurship, technology and innovation, The Academy serves talented but economically disadvantaged students with demonstrated leadership potential.
  • The Academy will take in disadvantaged students across all 47 counties in Kenya in a bid to spread entrepreneurial leadership which is unattended to in Kenya.
  • Qualified students will also have the opportunity to get inspirational learning that leans heavily on leadership and draws on advanced technologies.

M-pesa foundation Academy which had its foundation stone laying in May 2015 will start off with an inaugural class of 94 students in January 2016.



  • Among the 94 shortlisted students, the academy will choose two successful candidates from each of the 47 counties to go through their KCSE based secondary education at no cost.

The facility will boast first class sports, arts and music facilities, in addition to academic facilities, will include an indoor sports hall, a sports field, running track, swimming pools, squash courts, a music center and a 500 seat auditorium.

Applications are available at all County Education Offices, all Safaricom Retail Centres and at select schools country-wide.

  1. Did the Academy communicate to those pupils who applied but were not shortlisted for interviews, at least to acknowledge their effort?

  2. Could the academy kindly communicate to those who applied & did interviews the outcome of the interviews.
    The candidates who did KCPE are reporting to high school this week and those who applied the academy are getting anxious.


  3. God is good for you have come to help the needy. You helped our own Jacinta Kathina Mutii, she offered a mortivational talk for class seven and Eight At Kiongwe Primary school and Sikomani Primary school. It was an inspiring message we teachers and our school. She later joined us and talked to class Six. As Kathina Mutii last year class teacher I appreciate you for who you are thanks very much.
