Renaissance is seeking high-performing, experienced and skilled Operations & Maintenance Technicians with the technical competence, safety mindset and drive to deliver significant business impact.
Job Purpose
The Operations and Maintenance Technician is responsible for executing safe, efficient and reliable production operations and first-line maintenance activities on wells, facilities, equipment and associated systems.
The role contributes to maximising asset availability, achieving production targets and maintaining operational integrity through effective equipment inspection, troubleshooting, testing and repair, as well as production/process monitoring and control room operations.
All activities must be performed in accordance with approved company procedures, regulatory requirements and Health, Safety, Security and Environmental (HSSE) standards, while supporting continuous improvement in production, maintenance and asset performance.

Work Pattern: Field-based rotational assignment
Rotation Cycle
The role is field-based and will operate on a 21-days-on/21-days-off rotation cycle (or similar) across applicable onshore, swamp or offshore production locations.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
• Operating oil and gas facilities, wells and associated assets safely and efficiently in accordance with approved operating procedures and HSSE requirements.
• Executing routine and minor non-routine production operations, first-line maintenance, equipment isolation, depressurisation and reinstatement activities.
• Carrying out preventive, predictive, corrective and routine first-line maintenance on plant, process equipment and associated systems.
• Inspecting, testing, troubleshooting, diagnosing and rectifying equipment and process faults to minimise downtime and maintain asset reliability.
• Performing routine equipment servicing, installation, commissioning, calibration, adjustment and functional testing in accordance with approved manuals, procedures and work practices.
• Monitoring plant and equipment performance, collecting and recording field data, and identifying potential failures and opportunities for performance improvement.
• Measuring, validating and accurately reporting production volumes and collecting required samples for analysis.
• Diagnosing and responding appropriately to plant and facility upsets and implementing approved corrective actions to restore safe and stable operations.
Requirements
Education / Professional Qualifications:
• Ordinary National Diploma (OND/ND), Full Technological Certificate, Advanced Technical Diploma, relevant trade qualification or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Instrumentation, Electronics, Sciences or another relevant technical discipline.
• Relevant technical certification or professional qualification will be an added advantage.
Experience
• Minimum of two (2) years’ relevant experience in technical maintenance, field operations and/or control room operations within an industrial, manufacturing, energy, oil and gas or similar operating environment.
• Experience in upstream production operations, particularly within the oil and gas, petrochemical, manufacturing or industrial maintenance sectors, will be an added advantage.
Technical Competencies
Candidates should demonstrate:
• Competence in their relevant technical discipline and assigned equipment.
• Understanding of preventive, corrective and first-line maintenance practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment and process failures and contribute effectively to root-cause analysis.
• Competence in Permit-to-Work, task risk assessment and safe isolation practices.
• Ability to interpret and apply operating manuals, technical drawings, procedures, work packs and method statements.
• Ability to accurately complete operational, maintenance and integrity records.
• Good understanding of HSSE requirements, safety-critical equipment and operations management systems.
• Ability to conduct frontline equipment checks and Unsafe Act/Unsafe Condition audits.
• Readiness to work on a rotational basis in onshore, swamp and/or offshore locations.
• Working knowledge of upstream oil and gas production facilities will be an added advantage.
