Applications are now open for the 2026/2027 American University of Beirut (AUB) Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program. The Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program provides full scholarships in partnership with the American University of Beirut (AUB).
The Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program aims to prepare young people to be agents of change in their communities, countries, and regions. Scholars attend a series of workshops, courses, and fieldwork in addition to the courses for their degrees.

On-campus masters’ scholarships are open to young people who are:
- Citizens of countries on the African Continent
- Citizens of Lebanon
- Refugees living in Lebanon or on the African Continent
PhD scholarships are open to:
- Citizens of countries on the African Continent
- Refugees living on the African Continent
Eligibility Requirements
- 35 years or younger
- Strong academic standing in their previous degree
- Talent that exceeds financial resources
- Demonstrated leadership potential and commitment to community engagement
- Commitment to attend additional learning experiences and workshops required by the Scholars Program
- Demonstration of Readiness for University Studies in English (RUSE) by May 31, 2026.
Tests that you can submit: AUB-EN test, TOEFL IBT, IELTS (Academic), GRE (Verbal), GMAT (Verbal), or DUOLINGO English Test (DET).
Online Graduate Scholarship
The scholarship program is open for Fall admissions to the following five online graduate programs:
- Master’s in Engineering Management (Online)
- Master’s in Computing in Education (Online)
- Master’s in Business Administration (Online)
- Master in Master in Nursing Administration and Management (online)
- Executive Master in Healthcare Leadership (Online)
Each online master’s program might have additional admissions requirements. Kindly check the webpages of each program for additional details.

How to Apply
Interested applicants should:
Step 1: Complete an AUB online graduate application and upload supporting documents by the deadline.
Step 2: Select Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program under the Financial Opportunities section of the online graduate application.
Step 3 (not required for PhD): Complete the AUB Financial Aid Application, which will be accessible after you submit your online graduate application.
IMPORTANT NOTE: For an application to be considered complete, applicants must have completed (1) the AUB online graduate application and (2) the AUB Financial Aid Application.

Step 2: Submit RUSE scores by June 30, 2026.
