Applications are now open for the 2026 UNICEF Venture Fund StartUp Lab Cohort 6. The UNICEF Venture Fund is on the lookout for early-stage startups using frontier technologies – AI, data science, blockchain, and more – to create real-world impact.
Requirements
- Startups based in low- and middle-income countries
- Have a functional prototype, and
- A commitment to Open Source principles.
For Cohort 6, the accelerator is seeking bold, scalable innovations addressing challenges in:
- Urban technology
- Water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH)
- Child protection
- Education
- Healthcare
- Climate resilience
- Financial inclusion
Benefits
tartups selected for cohort six will receive:
- Direct engagement with UNICEF programme experts across key sectors
- Industry-led training, mentorship, and hands-on technical support
- Access to UNICEF’s global network of country offices and partners
- Opportunities to engage with KOICA Ghana
Participants will also be eligible for up to $6,000 in prototyping funding, while the top three performing startups will each receive $15,000 in scale-up funding.
In addition, startups will receive guidance on aligning their products with the SDGs and contributing to the growing ecosystem of digital public goods.
