Applications are now open for the 2026 European Commission Youth4Regions Programme. Youth4Regions is the European Commission programme helping journalism students and young journalists to discover what the EU is doing in regions. The Youth4Regions journalism competition invites young aspiring journalists to submit original works on projects co-funded by cohesion policy funds and the European Solidarity Fund (EUSF) in the form of articles, photos and video or audio reports.
Requirements
- Citizens of any EU Member State or EU neighbouring country , with an interest in what the EU and Cohesion Policy are doing in your region, aged 18 to 30 years old at the time of the programme (10-16 October 2026), demonstrating a real interest in a journalistic career through studies and/or work/ volunteering experience, with a maximum of 3 years full-time work experience after graduating.
- ENP countries (Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Palestine, Syria and Tunisia, as well as Armenia and Azerbaijan), EU candidate countries (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, Türkiye and Ukraine) and potential candidates (Kosovo), EFTA countries (Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, and Switzerland) and the UK.
