The National Arts Council 2020 Post Graduate International Bursaries.

The National Arts Council is pleased to announce the call for international bursary applications for the 2020/2021 academic year. The invitation is for post-graduate studies in the relevant art fields supported by the NAC. Particular attention will be paid to post-graduate qualifications that address rare skills required in the arts sector in support of the following funding programmes, namely, Social Cohesion and Nation Building, Innovation, Design and Creation, Arts Platforms, Strategic Initiatives and Capacity Building.

The invitation extends to individual post-graduate studies for the 2020/2021 academic year. The grant will be renewable for the duration of the course, subject to successful completion of each year of study with adherence to the conditions of the grant. The minimum student’s average marks should not be less than 65%; and the course applied for should not be offered in South Africa. The grant will not exceed R250 000 and is subject to Council approval.

The candidates should be interested in pursuing postgraduate studies in the arts at an international institution during the 2020/21 academic year. Their average mark should be at least 65 per cent and the course should not be offered in South Africa.

Closing date for applications: 31 January 2020 at 17h00
• Outcomes: 30 April 2020
