The UNOSDP Youth Leadership Program “CAMP SWEDEN” hosted by the NGO Education for Sports People taking place in Stockholm, Sweden from August 3-14, 2014. The Camp will have between 28-30 participants between the ages of 18-25 with 50% female participation.
The purpose of the Camp is to bring together youth are working in disadvantage areas on sport for development projects and who have the potential to be community leaders in the field of sport for development and peace. The camp will be both theoretical and practical in nature and provide participants with a toolkit on how sport can be best used to improve the social conditions in the participant’s home communities.
The 6th UNOSDP Youth Leadership Programme (YLP) will take place in Stockholm at the Bosön Sports Academy. . The YLP will be organized by the United Nations office on Sport for Development and Peace (UNOSDP),Right To Play and the Johan Cryff Institute for Sports Studies and many other partners.
The Youth Leadership Programme recognizes the potential that youth have to invoke change in their community especially in the field of SDP. By helping youth develop their leadership skills in SDP this program not only contributes to the personal development of youth, it contributes to community development. By providing opportunities for youth to develop and exercise their leadership skills, the Camp can strengthen a community’s capacity to build on its strengths and respond to pressing community needs.

All costs for the participants will be covered. NOTE: This does not include getting to and from airports in the home countries of the participants or the cost of the visa application process.
