Applications are now open for the 21st edition of the UNESCO-Sharjah Prize for Arab Culture. Every year, the UNESCO-Sharjah Prize for Arab Culture honors two laureates for their contribution to the promotion of Arab art and culture, while fostering intercultural dialogue. Established in 1998, the UNESCO-Sharjah Prize for Arab Culture is awarded annually to two individuals, groups, or institutions who have made an exceptional contribution to the dissemination and promotion of Arab art and culture.
The prize highlights efforts to strengthen global awareness of Arab culture while promoting intercultural dialogue and mutual understanding between cultures. It carries a monetary value of 60,000 USD, which is equally divided between the two laureates.
