Application Deadline: November 22nd, 2026.
Applications are now open for the 2027 Samsung Software Development Programme. The Samsung Software Development Programme, run by Wits University’s Tshimologong Digital Innovation Precinct in Braamfontein, closes that gap.
Over 12 months, full time from 16 January 2027, you’ll work in a real development team on projects that tackle South African challenges. Senior developers mentor you throughout. You’ll strengthen your core software engineering skills, learn AI-assisted development and automation, and finish with a portfolio of work that shows what you can do.
Participants receive a monthly stipend, equipment, data and access to the Tshimologong precinct, funded through Samsung’s Equity Equivalent Investment Programme. Since 2020, 89 young developers have completed the programme, and 89% have found work in the industry.
