Applications are now open for the 2025 Managing Conflict in the Newsroom Today -Program. Managing conflict in today’s newsroom is an initiative of the Aga Khan University’s Graduate School of Media and Communications (AKU-GSMC) and Konrad Adenauer Stiftung’s Regional Media Programme for Sub-Saharan Africa. It is a four-day course aimed at giving news managers the ability to resolve workplace conflict and disagreement in order to lead effectively. Sessions will run from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm each day, with each topic taking up to one-and-a-half hours. Participants will cover key conflict resolution concepts relevant to the functions of emerging newsroom managers and leaders. The training will take place from December 1st – 4th, 2025.
The program is meant for media managers drawn from the sub-Saharan Africa region. It targets mid-level to senior managers in newsrooms.
Eligibility
- Marketing and communications professionals from CSOs, NGOs, and Government and Private Sectors.
